Team Building Exercise for 400 staff

Mirroring the nature of the aircraft leasing industry, Avolon has offices and staff across every corner of the globe. Teamwork is a vital element in the company’s success, and each year staff come together for a team building day to reinforce and strengthen that dynamic.
For its most recent annual staff and team-building day, Avolon wanted an original, fun and entertaining event which met the following objectives:
- Teach staff new skills
- Bring people together and increase interaction
- Appeal to all the diverse cultures and different staff levels in the company
- Complete all exercises within one day, culminating with a special company-wide celebration in the evening.

Based on Avolon’s specific brief, the HiJack team came up with a suggestion that met all of the company’s requirements.
On the day itself, staff were despatched to various locations across Dublin to produce the deliverables for the evening event. With top staff being flown in from across the globe – including CEO Dómhnal Slattery who flew in from America – it was important that the day ran without a hitch and that all timings were on schedule. Given the logistics and tight timescales involved, this was a big ask, but the professionalism and experience of the HiJack team – along with the enthusiastic support of all the participating Avolon staff – ensured that the day was a great success.
The team building day culminated with an evening premiere in The Twenty Two, a prestigious music venue located in the heart of Dublin. With an exclusive private hiring, The Twenty Two proved to be the perfect backdrop for the conclusion of the day’s efforts, with a HD quality projection of each team’s performance on a massive LED screen.
